Job Responsibilities
Responsible to the VP of Health Plan Operations:
Manage and coordinate activities related to the operations functions for a health plan, ensuring operational contract compliance as defined by the state and federal contract.
Plan, develop, and implement operations strategies and action plans to ensure that scheduled strategies are met.
Responsible for development and implementation of policies/procedures in accordance with Department of Health regulations and PACE regulations.
Participates in budget preparations on a yearly basis.
Participates in planning for organizational development and expansion.
Serve as a resource for the Health Plan by effectively identifying resources, solving problems, directing work, fostering communication and aligning accountabilities.
Develop and execute plans to improve existing performance and efficiency in operational processes.
To the extent possible, responsible for accident prevention/reduction in each particular work area where employees are supervised, including staff education and orientation of safety measures. Responsible for appropriate follow up of accidents/incidents by means of documentation, investigation, and risk management measures to prevent reoccurrence.
Lead projects to achieve key business objectives
Read, analyze, interpret State contracts and Plan requirements.
Develop Plan and/or company policy and procedure and SOP.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors Degree in health-related field.
Masters Degree in health-related or business field.
Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in community health programs or health plans at a supervisory or director level position. Five (5) years of experience in community health programs in an executive management position.
Additional Notes:
Must be willing to travel amongst offices in Metro NY area.

STRATGIC PLANNER for a large not for profit comprehensive care management organization in the metro NY area.
Key Purpose of Position
Identify, facilitate, pierce and provide extensive external market intelligence.
Provide timely information to leadership ensuring organizations ability to remain current and spearhead potential growth opportunities.
A stakeholder in the collaboration of customer satisfaction and roll out of information to maintain relationships and generate new ones.
Strategic Planning
Assist the VP of Strategy Planning and Business Development in developing an institution wide short-term strategic plan (1-3 years) to include a current assessment, financial analysis, market assessment and option development.
Assist the VP of Strategy Planning and Business Development in developing e a complete, longer term strategic plan (3-5 years) by interviewing key internal stakeholders and market research.
Assist with implementation of both short and long-term strategic plans.
Develop metric tool to monitor progress on both the short and long term strategic plan.
Assist in identifying operational barriers and developing solutions to continue implementing strategy.
Market Intelligence/Content Expert
Provide subject matter expertise on multiple market forces to include: long term care, home health care, LHCSAs, nursing homes, managed care, dept for the elderly, etc.

Evaluating Potential External Opportunities
Develop complex models to evaluate external business opportunities such as make vs. buy decisions, strategic alliances, etc
Develop decision criteria tools to make informed decisions re: opportunity outcome.
Financial Modeling
Develop intricate models to answer key financial business questions.
Perform investment analyses to include:
Present vs. future value analyses
Return on Investment (ROI) analysis
Drill down on high level finance data and identify areas of financial opportunity (if any).
Provide recommendations to Sr. Management based on financial outcome
Analytic Skills
Extensive analytic skills mandatory, specifically in Excel, as each member pulls their own data.
Demonstrated ability to think critically and problem solve quickly and efficiently
Evaluate large data sets and summarize key findings for clients
Required to perform data validity and integrity checks on each work product before it leaves the department.
Ability to clean data that is inconsistent, from multiple sources, in different formats, etc.
Project /Practice Management
Management of projects for the Office of Strategy, Planning & Analysis. Including development and maintenance of project plans, leading and facilitating work teams, moderate analysis, understanding the issues surrounding a project, and communication and synthesis of ideas.
Directs the development of implementation plans; coordinates the completion of efforts and resources.
Ability to mentor junior staff members
Directs and monitors resources; ensures completion of schedules.
Completes status reports and presents deliverables for project milestones to senior management.
Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
Reviews deliverables prepared by team.
Effectively applies PM methodology and enforces project standards. Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 2 years of strategic planning experience. Demonstrated success in strategic planning development and implementation (at least 2 years)
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management working in a Strategy, Project Management and Analysis capacity. Complete understanding of a project life cycle methodology.
Requires strong judgment and excellent project management skills. Ability to proficiently use project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Effective problem solving skills to assist in detecting potential issues and issue resolution. Ability to offer solutions instead of the hurdles to multiple stakeholders.
Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to the target audience.

CPA is not required for this position; however, evidence of progressive related experience must be noted in credentials/ resume.
Must be willing to travel amongst offices in Metro NY area.
A minimum of 2 professional letters of reference will be required.
